Classic photo studio
KK Low, a photographer who has worked in the Jalan Sultan area of Kuala Lumpur for more than 50 years had so many stories to tell of the people he had photographed. In fact, I have met many who at one time, had their portraits taken there. These days, Mr Low shoots mainly identification photos for passport & ID but it was evident that he still had the touch. I had my passport sized photos taken by him too. While I was there, we came across a long forgotten photograph of Lee Lam Thye.
I absolutely loved how everywhere I looked in the studio, there were reminders of times past. Mr Low told me how the string above his head used to hold prints drying in his then darkroom. He now uses it to hang receipts.
