Encik Othman retired a few months after I photographed him. He had worked at Royal Selangor for 39 years since 1974. It’s sad when skilled and gifted craftsmen hang up their tools but we take comfort in the knowledge that Royal Selangor will never allow the skills that have made it an internationally recognised brand disappear.
